Kelly Barnes was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 9. From an early age Barnes was enthralled in music and dance, and passionate about the world of entertainment. It was her innate desire to entertain that eventually lead her to Southern California, where she could pursue her childhood dreams. There, Barnes along with Sutton Althisar, formed an indie rock band called Ragsy, where she is the lead singer and co-writer. The band just completed and independently released their debut album entitled “Broken Bridge”, which has received praise in several music publications and is in the process of being placed in film and television.
Barnes also co-writes and performs dance tracks, several of which have gone on to be top 40 hits on radio stations in the United States, England, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, Australia, Austria, Italy, Portugal, South Africa and New Zealand. ‘Get Shaky’, co –written alongside Ian Carey as part of the Ian Carey project, reached platinum success in Australia as it hit # 2 in the national charts. Its release in the UK continued this success, peaking at # 9 in the national charts and being used as the bed for national TV programmes; T4 and The X-factor! “Everybody”, another one of Barnes’ songs is presently topping European charts. Her vocals can also be heard in both independent and Hollywood films, as well as national and international advertisements for major commercial companies.
